At the start of this episode Arthur & Ray are at this hotel where Arthur gives the opening speech.

LOOKING FOR GOODTIME MOTORS – WATERLOO ARCHES – THEN & NOW

At 07m40s, we first see Goodtime motors, after Sid has told Arthur to look for it near ‘Waterloo arches’. Ray returns here a further two times in the episode to look for it. Following redevelopment, this is now the site where the Eurostar booking office buildings can be found.

 

ARTHUR & RAY GO TO SEE WILLIE – THEN & NOW  

NEWPORT PLACE/GERRARD PLACE, CHINA TOWN, WC2 

At 08m15s, Arthur and Ray arrive in Chinatown to offer Willie some red light bulbs.

 

Arthur tells Ray he needs to see a man about a dog and will meet him again in an hour. We then see a shot of Gerrard Place.

 

ARTHUR SEES A MAN ABOUT A DOG – THEN & NOW  

HORSE & DOLPHIN YARD, MACCLESFIELD STREET, CHINA TOWN, WC2 

At 10m06s, Ray spots Arthur leaving this location and goes to check it out. He walks from Macclesfield Street into the Horse & Dolphin Yard, near De Hems Dutch Pub.

  

ARTHUR LOOKS FOR A LAMPPOST & GETS NICKED FOR KERB CRAWLING – THEN & NOW  

HARRODS FURNITURE DEPOSITORY/NOW BRASENOSE DRIVE, HARRODS VILLAGE, BARNES, SW13 

At 13m26s, Arthur drives along this street looking for a lamppost and gets arrested. This site was completely redeveloped into a residential area in 2000 though fortunately the Grade II listed buildings there were maintained.

POLICE STATION 1 – THEN & NOW

At 24m14s, Arthur, Ray and Lockwood arrive here where Tomkins is based, for Arthur’s identity parade.

POLICE STATION 2 – THEN & NOW  

PRIORY COMMUNITY CENTRE, 387 ACTON LANE, W3 8 

At 31m15s, Morley and Field are both subpoenaed to give evidence on Arthur’s behalf as they leave their own station. Arthur later returns here hoping to go over the case.

This location features throughout The Ray Daley Years. The NOW shot is from 2012. This site was demolished in 2014 and replaced by the ARK Priory Primary Academy.

 

ARTHUR GOES TO COURT – THEN & NOW  

CHISWICK TOWN HALL, HEATHFIELD TERRACE W4 

At 35m34s, Ray bumps Arthur up the stairs and into court in his wheelchair.
