First seen at 07m13s as hairdresser Lynn goes to see ‘er indoors, this is the same location seen at 45 minutes when the police seal off Arthur’s flat looking for ‘er indoors. Flat 3b and Flat 4 were used for the internal scenes.

This location is also seen in #9.10 Cars And Pints And Pains and is just along the same street (in Fitz-George Avenue) as Arthur’s flat in #1.2 Bury My Half At Waltham Green and #1.11 You Gotta Have Friends.

 

BANK MANAGER’S OFFICE (INTERNAL) – THEN & NOW

At 07m50s, Arthur goes to see his bank manager here. This location identified from original paperwork for this episode.

ARTHUR’S NEIGHBOUR CALLS THE POLICE – THEN & NOW

At 09m45s, we see an external shot of this phone box where Arthur’s neighbour is on the phone to DC Park about ‘er indoors disappearance.

RAY CALLS ARTHUR FROM A PHONE BOX – THEN & NOW 

CORNER OF SPELDHURST ROAD/SOUTHFIELD ROAD, CHISWICK, W4 1BD

At 23m15s, Arthur receives a call from Ray who is in a phone box. According to original paperwork for this episode, this phone box was located on the corner of Speldhurst Road and Southfield Road which is directly opposite ‘Lynn’s Salon’ that features later on in the episode. If you look carefully behind Ray’s head you can see a wooden frame matches above the house doors on this street and it can only be assumed the square on the pavement in the more recent shot is the possible location where this box was.

 

ARTHUR HOLDS UP THE TRAFFIC – THEN & NOW – Pictures

At 23 minutes, Arthur is reading the newspaper in his car at the traffic lights here. After taking a call from Ray he is soon moved on by a motorcycle policeman.

TALBOT FACTORY, BARLBY ROAD/VIEW OF BARLBY ROAD/PALL MALL DEPOSIT (ST CHARLES HOSPITAL BUILDING) OPPOSITE, W10

At 24 minutes, the camera is inside Drummond’s office. Look carefully outside the window behind him and you will see properties on Barlby Road/Pall Mall Deposit.

POLICE STATION – THEN & NOW

At 26m08s, Morley and Park leave the station and get into their car here. Notice the windows behind Morley and Park as they walk to their car in this scene.

This location features throughout The Ray Daley Years. This site was demolished in 2014 and replaced by the ARK Priory Primary Academy.

COURT ROOM – THEN & NOW

At 26m44s we see the first shots of the court room scene where Arthur is required to defend himself against the council for erecting a flagpole at the car lot.
