At 02m48s we see an extended view of this lorry park where Bertie and Mickey meet George before they fake the mugging.

 

At 03m56s they all leave the lorry park and turn left into Barlby Road, heading towards Ladbroke Grove.

 

Moments later they turn left past the ‘Admiral Blake’ pub, later called ‘The Cowshed’, also seen in the TV show ‘Time Gentlemen Please’.

 

GEORGE GETS KNOCKED OUT – THEN & NOW

At 05m17s George is knocked out by Bertie using a handkerchief in the back of his van at this location.

At 14m51s, Rycott & Melish arrive back at the station, with George arriving moments later in a police car. Here we get a brief glimpse of Empire Way.

At 06m42s Jones and McDonald arrive here to talk to Self-Inflicted Sid.

At 12m08s Rycott & Melish are at this location investigating a case of some damaged flowers, just seconds away from Arthur’s roadside car sales pitch.

We first see this location at 07m47s, when Justin delivers flowers to Morrie.

 

At 38m32s, Arthur, Terry and Justin all return here to confront Morrie.

First seen at 17 minutes when Arthur and Charlie go to assess Charlie’s site – the majority of the action is situated around this location as the site is staked out by the police. Arthur, Terry, Justin and Self-Inflicted all return later to attempt to set fire to the van.

 

There have been many changes at this location, but the distinctive People’s Hall, built in 1901 can be seen in both shots. This street features throughout the first seven series of Minder.

At 20m43s, Terry is doing his washing when a pretty young girl walks in.

At 24m33s, we see Arthur’s Granada approach this junction on Warwick Avenue.

 

As they carry on driving, watch carefully as they drive past the same phone box twice on Sutherland Road near Castellain Road.

At 27m15s, Arthur and Terry leave Brindleys Bank and return to Arthur’s car parked around the corner on Silchester Road.

 

The Westway flyover is not so evident in the episode itself but the houses behind Arthur as he gets into his car are still very much the same.

 

SUSSING OUT FAT CHARLIE’S SITE – THEN & NOW

At 37m35s, Justin’s van is driven by Harry from the Winchester along here en route to Fat Charlie’s site – one street away from the site.

At 41m23s, Justin pulls up to the side of the road here to ask the young mother if she wants to earn some money.
