This location features at several points in this episode – firstly at 03m39s Arthur & Terry go here to begin greyhound training. At just after 8 minutes Terry returns here on his own with the dog.

 

At 14m50s, the location features a third time as the training schedule continues here and Arthur and Terry meet with Fred, Ted & Tasty. The car park no longer exists.

 

At 37m11s and 39m39s, the location features again – directly behind where the video deal takes place is the phone box that Tasty and Arthur call which Arthur is told is Fred & Ted’s number.

This location also features in #4.10 Get Daley and #6.2 Life In The Fast Food Lane.

 

PADDY’S DOGS/ALLOTMENT – THEN & NOW

At 05m52s we first see this allotment location where Paddy is keeping his dogs. This location has now been built on.

On the left of the picture you can see Grenfell Tower. The lamppost behind Paddy was on St Anns Road.

 

POLICE STATION – THEN & NOW  

MAIDA VALE LIBRARY, SUTHERLAND AVENUE, W9 2QT 

At 09m30s, Chisholm & Jones bump into Rycott & Melish outside the police station.

This location also features in #2.6 Not A Bad Lad, Dad, #5.3 A Number Of Old Wives Tales and #5.5 Second Hand Pose.

 

RYCOTT & CHISHOLM EACH GET TIPPED OFF – THEN & NOW  

QUEEN ADELAIDE PUB, UXBRIDGE ROAD/ADELAIDE CAFE, ADELAIDE GROVE, W12 

At 13m16s, Rycott is seen leaving the Queen Adelaide Pub as he receives a tip off about the deal. Melish is parked opposite in Boscombe Road.

At 19m11s, Chisholm leaves the Adelaide Cafe with info that Arthur is going to be the buyer in a deal going down later that day. These locations are seconds away from each other on foot.

At 15m15s, Fred & Ted leave Harry’s shop with only one video recorder, supposedly a sample that Arthur is supposed to be buying in their attempt to swindle him.

 

THE CROWN PUB/CAR CRASH SCENE – THEN & NOW  

57 PRINCEDALE ROAD W11 – NOW CALLED ‘THE ACADEMY’ 

First seen at 20 minutes, this is the pub where the deal for the video recorders goes down and Arthur gets ripped off. After Ted returns, it is here we see one of Minder’s most memorable moments, a car crash between Chisholm and Rycott.

This location also features in #1.4 A Tethered Goat.

 

DRIVING TO THE FLAT/TED’S SUPPOSED COLLECTION POINT – THEN & NOW  

EAST ROW, W10 

At 22m48s, Terry and Ted are on the way to collect the videos at this location. Here Terry queries Ted about how far it is to go.

At 22m55s, Terry and Ted park the van here and Ted tells Terry to keep an eye on the van. Terry soon realises he’s been duped and returns to the van.

This location features throughout the first seven series of Minder.

 

TERRY RETURNS TO THE CROWN PUB – THEN & NOW

At exactly 26m, after realising he’s been duped and left on his own, Terry drives back to the pub in the van past this junction.

 

BOOKMAKERS SHOP, I MORRIS TURF ACCOUNTANTS – THEN & NOW

At various points throughout this episode, both Chisholm and Rycott go to visit Tasty at this location, on the corner of Portland Road.

 

FINDING FRED & TED – THE BRAMLEY ARMS PUB – THEN & NOW

Around 33 minutes after realising he’s been taken for a ride, Arthur sets off with Terry and Tasty Tim to track down Fred & Ted to get his money back. Tasty Tim leads them to this location. This pub also featured in the 1979 film ‘Quadrophenia’ and in an episode of ‘The Sweeney’ called ‘Loving Arms’ – it has not been a pub since the late 1980s.

 

CHISHOLM & JONES LOOK FOR TASTY – SNOOKER & BILLIARDS CLUB – THEN & NOW  

239 UXBRIDGE ROAD OPPOSITE ASKHAM ROAD, W12 

At 37m46s, in this short scene Chisholm and Jones leave this Snooker & Billiards Club after looking for Tasty, where Jones suggests to Chisholm they try the betting shop.

 

TERRY FOLLOWS TASTY – THEN & NOW 

FRESTON ROAD, W10 

At 37m57s, Tasty leaves The Bramley Arms and Terry decides to follow him to see if he really is stitching them up. Tasty returns to this location in a taxi to collect his van – though in reality this would have taken him just 20 seconds on foot. The arch and A40 flyover are clearly visible in both shots.

FRED & TED’S HIDEOUT – THEN & NOW

Around 38 minutes Terry follows Tasty Tim to this location, Fred & Ted’s drinking club where they are playing cards.

 

Both Tasty and Terry turn from Powis Terrace into Talbot Road where the club is located.

 

TASTY’S FLAT – THEN & NOW 

SOUTH AFRICA ROAD (CORNER OF BLOEMFONTAIN ROAD), W12 

Around 41m, we see Rycott and Melish accompany Tasty to the road outside his flat to find Chisholm and Jones waiting.

This location also features in #8.9 The Greatest Show In Willesden.

 

TASTY GETS SET UP – GOODS DEPOT – THEN & NOW 

GOODS DEPOT, PADDINGTON STATION, NR WESTBOURNE BRIDGE, W2 – NOW KINGDOM STREET, W2 

At 48m03s we first see this location where Fred & Ted have set up Chisholm & Rycott to both nick Tasty at the same time. This location has long been demolished and is now buildings on Kingdom Street, W2.

This location also features in #6.4 Arthur Is Dead, Long Live Arthur – it went out of use in the 1970s and the tracks were removed in 1978. By 1991 the building had been demolished.
