At exactly 3½ minutes Arthur arrives at this pub to give George the barman a jacket and where he sees Debbie is stripping. His old pal John then talks to him at the bar.

 

MICKY GETS DROPPED OFF – THEN & NOW

After Arthur has arrived at the pub, we see Micky being dropped off here after escaping from prison.

 

DEBBIE’S FLAT – THEN & NOW

At 09m50s Debbie is being driven home to her flat at this location.

 

As she leaves the car, Micky is waiting for her to arrive so he can hold up there for a short while – at the left house shown below.

 

FREDDIE BAKER’S HOUSE/DOOR TO DOOR – THEN & NOW

At 14 minutes, after Chisholm finds out Micky is out of prison, he visits Freddie Baker at this location at number 15.

 

At 27 minutes, Chisholm and Jones do a door-to-door and leave the front door of the house at the end of the same street, number 52.

 

CHISHOLM & JONES LOOK FOR MICKY – THEN & NOW  

MENDIP CRESCENT, MENDIP ROAD ESTATE, WANDSWORTH, SW11 

At 23m14s, Chisholm & Jones arrive at this housing estate looking for Micky. Watney’s Distilleries bought the land in around 1980 and tenants on this estate were rehoused over the next few years.

This entire estate was demolished around 1983 and has more recently been the site of ‘Access Self Storage’.

At 27m47s Arthur meets his reporter mate John Anker here to offer him the scoop of his career – an interview with Micky. However, John isn’t interested.

 

ARTHUR MEETS OATES – THEN & NOW

At 34m39s Arthur meets with Oates to see if he would be interested in Micky. When Oates reminds Arthur that he could be breaking the law, Arthur tells Oates he is simply a “bipartisan agent”.

At 40m09s, Freddie Baker is seen walking here with fleet street reporter Oates. As old pals, Baker instructs Oates to tell him about Arthur’s plan as soon as he knows more.

This location is just seconds away from where Arthur is thrown out of the car mentioned below.

At 44 minutes, after meeting Arthur outside The Winchester, Freddie takes Arthur for a ‘demonstration’ along this road.

Moments later the Mercedes drives past this location.

Just after 44 minutes Arthur is thrown from Freddie Baker’s Mercedes here. This is under a bridge at the end of Bramford Road, leading into Podmore Road.

 

CHISHOLM BUYS A PAPER – THEN & NOW  

HERNDON ROAD, SW18 

At 41m15s, Chisholm’s car pulls over here for him to buy a newspaper, which he hands to Jones in the back seat.

 

FREDDIE CATCHES UP WITH MICKY – THEN & NOW 

THE ALMA PUB, PODMORE ROAD, SW18 

At 45 minutes when Freddie Baker finally catches up with Micky and promises to take him to the coast, he drives his Mercedes along Podmore Road, passing The Alma Pub in the background.
