Around 11 minutes, Arthur and Terry give Debbie a lift to work. Watch carefully as you can clearly see the address of the building on the sign above the windows.

As they drive off we see a view of what is now Charing Cross Road.

 

ARTHUR ACQUIRES SOME COUNTRY ATTIRE AT MOSS BROS – THEN & NOW

At 12m50s, intertwined with scenes from the strip club, we see Arthur trying on some country attire at this shop. Moss Bros moved from this site in 1989 only to return to a location directly opposite in 1991.

 

TERRY WAITS AND THEN FOLLOWS DEBBIE – THEN & NOW 

ED’S EASY DINER/MOOR STREET, W1

At 15 minutes, Terry waits for Debbie to leave the strip club at this location on the corner of Old Compton Street.

He then follows her along Moor Street to the phone boxes on Charing Cross Road where they have a chat.

The same location features in #9.3 Uneasy Rider.

DEBBIE’S FLAT – THEN & NOW

At 15m40s, after Terry following Debbie results in nothing, the pair return to her flat directly afterwards.

At 17m13s, Arthur’s jag pulls off here as they head to the countryside for the first time.

 

FINDING THE TRUCK – THEN & NOW

At 17m48s, Arthur & Terry wonder if they should turn left or right. This is just along the road from the location that features the policeman on his bicycle later on.

 

COLLECTING THE BULL – THEN & NOW

At 21m53s, Arthur & Terry turn this corner as they attempt to locate the field where the bull is.

 

DELIVERING THE BULL 1 – ABANDONED FARM BUILDINGS – THEN & NOW

At exactly 28 minutes we see Brown waiting at an old farm on Tandridge Lane, where only a wall now remains.

 

DELIVERING THE BULL 2 – THEN & NOW

At 28m10s, after Arthur & Terry collect the bull, Arthur drives it to the farmers. Terry follows behind in the Jag and they travel along this lane.

 

At 28m20s, we see the lorry and the Jag turn a corner from Southlands Lane into Tandridge Lane to the abandoned farm above.

 

DRIVING BACK TO LONDON – THEN & NOW

At 29m56s following the handing over of the bull, Arthur & Terry pass a junction where Hosey Common Road meets Mapleton Road.

 

Moments later and still on the same road, Arthur tells Terry that word spreads quickly down the rural grapevine as they pass an odd looking tree.

 

DRIVING BACK TO THE COUNTRY 1 – THEN & NOW

Just before 38m, after Arthur and Terry realise they have been conned, they head back to the country along Hammersmith Bridge.

 

DRIVING BACK TO THE COUNTRY 2 – THEN & NOW

In the next scene Arthur & Terry are further back on the same road heading in the same direction towards Hammersmith Bridge. Here Terry tells Arthur he’s not going back to nick for a poxy 300 quid.

 

DRIVING BACK TO THE COUNTRY 3 – THEN & NOW

COMMON ROAD/QUEEN’S RIDE, RICHMOND UPON THAMES, SW13

Just before 39m35s, Arthur spots a policeman on his bike and we catch a split second glimpse of the street sign ‘COMMON ROAD’ through the window of Arthur’s Jag.

 

Although they turn left at this point, the scene with the policeman on the bike has been edited in and is a different location (see below). As they continue driving we catch another split second glimpse of Van Buren Cottage on Queen’s Ride (a white Mercedes parked in the driveway), again through the window of Arthur’s Jag.

 

ARTHUR SPOTS A POLICEMAN – DRIVING BACK TO THE COUNTRY 3 – THEN & NOW

At 39m39s, we see this view from the front of Arthur’s car of a policeman on his bike.

In the next scene Arthur hides his face and tells Terry “It’s on top!” as the car reaches the junction itself.

 

MEDHURST’S FARM – THEN & NOW 

PERRYSFIELD FARM, GIBBS BROOK LANE, OXTED, RH8

Around 40m30s, Arthur and Terry drive to Smith’s Farm (real name William Medhurst) to confront him and Brown about the stolen bull.

 

Here Terry threatens the farmers unless the bull is returned and discovers Arthur has not been honest with financial arrangements.
