Featured at the start of this episode and throughout is ‘The Music Room’ club where the majority of the story takes place. An exterior shot is seen very briefly (see bottom of page). This club was reopened as ‘Heaven’ in December 1979 and a shot of the entrance is shown in the more recent shot (second door from the right).

 

ARTHUR & TERRY DRIVE TO THE LOCKUP 1 – THEN & NOW

At 08m07s, Arthur and Terry are driving along Uxbridge Road, heading west.

At 08m15s they pass the junction of St Stephen’s Avenue, still on Uxbridge Road.

 

ARTHUR & TERRY DRIVE TO THE LOCKUP 2 – THEN & NOW 

POPLAR MEWS OFF UXBRIDGE ROAD, SHEPHERD’S BUSH MARKET STATION, W12

At 08m43s, Arthur and Terry turn left from Uxbridge Road into Poplar Mews.

At 49m03s, they return along this same stretch of road again.

Both times they drive to the lockup they find Chisholm waiting there for them.

 

ARTHUR & TERRY DROP OFF VODKA/MEET SHARON – THEN & NOW

THE BRICKLAYER’S ARMS, 54 RUSSELL GARDENS, KENSINGTON, LONDON W14 8EZ

At 13m08s, Arthur and Terry drop off the vodka here and Arthur meets singer Sharon for the first time. This pub was known more recently as ‘The Kensington’ but was demolished in 2014.

This pub also features in #1.2 Bury My Half At Waltham Green and #2.9 All Mod Cons.

                                                                      At 17m19s, Arthur and Sharon travel along on this street after they leave the pub together.

At 18m33s Arthur brakes suddenly when Sharon spots a red dress at this location, with Kings Road in view.

 

SHARON’S FLAT – THEN & NOW 

WOLVERTON GARDENS, W6 

At 24m27s, we see a short glimpse of Arthur’s car parked at this location as he drops Sharon off after a meal out. This is the rare occasion we see Arthur cavorting with another woman other than ‘er indoors.

DRIVING TO VIC’S BROTHER 1 – THEN & NOW

At 44m29s, Arthur leaves the Winchester and drives Vic to his brother’s place – they are first seen here driving up Adelaide Road along from the Winchester.

At 44m33s, they pass this junction as Vic tells Arthur he gets picked on a lot.

At 44m54s, just after Arthur agrees with Vic that ‘family’ is very important, they turn left into Oppidans Road.

At 45m34s, Arthur & Vic finally arrive at Vic’s brother’s yard.
