First seen at 03m24s, Elliot and Sardi go to Arthur’s office to discuss the job. Out of the window you can see an onion dome-shaped building behind Arthur.

Just after 23 minutes we can see the arched window behind Arthur which would put his office on the top floor of the building directly opposite.

Just after 13 minutes, Arthur goes here to tell Frankie about Sayin being a potential punter. This has been known more recently as ‘Lustre Fine Finishes’.

At 09m44s, we first see the house location where Terry is minding Sayin. The house is located at number 7. In this shot the black Granada pulls up outside the house next door.

 As the terrorists head for the street, Elliot (played by Michael Sheard) collects them in a black Ford Granada.

As the car reaches the end of the street it screeches around the corner from Ladbroke Terrace into Ladbroke Square.

At 20m34s, Sardi, Elliot and the team of terrorists all gather at this location, where (it is assumed) they plan the assassination attempt on Sayin.

At 26m07s, there is a brief drive-by scene as the terrorists head for the house. Here they drive right outside the Royal Albert Hall.

At 31m05s, Frankie calls Arthur from this phone box to tell him about the attempted hit on Sayin at the house.

THE CROWN PUB – THEN & NOW

57 PRINCEDALE ROAD/PENZANCE PLACE, W11 (MORE RECENTLY ‘THE ACADEMY’)

The climax of this episode sees Terry, Dai and Sayin held up in a pub while they wait for Arthur to arrive and take them to the airport. Arthur waits opposite with a van load of terrorists.

 This pub location also features in #5.9 Around The Corner where Chisholm and Rycott infamously crash into one another on the street outside.

 

TERRY CHASES SARDI – THEN & NOW

PENZANCE PLACE/QUEENSDALE CRESCENT/VIEW OF MORTIMER SQUARE, W11

In the confusion with the police van, Sardi (played by Nadim Sawalha) runs off along Penzance Place with Terry in pursuit.

Moments later, Sardi enters a children’s playground on Queensdale Crescent, with a view of two towers of the Edward Woods estate behind him. The shot below is from 2009.

Watch carefully in this scene as you catch a glimpse of the house on the corner of Mortimer Square, left of Terry’s head in the shot below from the episode.

The blue house (with the matching chimney stack in both shots), is directly opposite Wally West’s car lot in #4.5 The Car Lot Baggers and also features in #5.9 Around The Corner and #7.5 Fiddler On The Hoof. Many changes have taken place at this location and it is barely recognisable from the days when Minder was filmed there with the playground having been what is now Hunt Close.

ST JAMES’S GARDENS/ADDISON AVENUE, W11

After the hostage situation has been dealt with Arthur, Terry and Dai take Sayin to the airport and while driving along St James’s Gardens they pass Addison Avenue. Watch out for a slight continuation blooper in the episode itself as you see this street twice through the back window of the Mercedes.
