Episode Overview

A Mercedes that Terry has been hired to look after for Rose Mellors disappears along with the diamonds that were hidden inside. The hunt is on to find the car as quickly as they can before everyone, including Arthur, is heading for a good beating from Tajvir who had more than a passing interest in the contents of the car.

Double Take

A second appearance here for Rose Mellors and her bodyguard Jack, played by Ann Lynn and Tony Selby. The pair had previously appeared in #1.2 Bury My Half at Waltham Green. Tony Selby would later appear as a different character (Muldoon) in #7.2 Days Of Fines & Closures.

Title: Based on ‘Diamond’s Are A Girl’s Best Friend’ – a song written by Jule Styne and comes from the musical ‘Gentleman Prefer Blondes’, first on Broadway in 1949. The musical is based on a novel of the same name from author Anita Loos. The song was most famously performed by Marilyn Monroe in the 1953 version of the film.
